Basically good news
As we all saw Friday, former Blue Devil Kon Knueppel suffered his first injury as a professional, rolling his ankle in the first quarter against the Orlando Magic.
It looked pretty bad but as it turns out, it certainly could have been worse. The X-rays didn’t reveal any structural damage, which is good news.
Of course it’s easy to say it’s a minor injury when it’s not your ankle.
The worst part of it is that Knueppel has been an absolute revelation for Charlotte. No one, not even most Duke fans, expected him to play this well this early in his career. But he’s been rock-solid and has emerged as the player the Hornets are most likely to build around. Here’s hoping he’s back soon to continue pressing former Duke teammate and roommate Cooper Flagg in the Rookie of the Year race.
