Key players from Auburn basketball's blowout win over Queens

Auburn earned another nonconference win thanks to the efforts of several key players.

Many players contributed to Auburn basketball's dominating 106-65 win over Queens University in its final nonconference game of the season.

As a team, Auburn connected on 15 three-pointers, won the rebound battle, 40-26, and recorded 13 steals. The Tigers also shared the wealth by notching 22 assists. Auburn head coach Steven Pearl was encouraged by what he saw out of his team on Monday, especially in the first half.

"The first half looked like Auburn basketball again, which was encouraging," Pearl said. "Second half, their ball pressure bothered us some. We've got to do a better job with that."

An amazing team effort led to many stellar individual performances. Here is a look at who Auburn Wire writers, as well as Auburn fans, chose as their "Tiger of the Game" following Auburn's win over Queens.

Taylor Jones: Keyshawn Hall

Auburn Tigers forward Keyshawn Hall (7) is defended by Queens University's Isaiah Henry (3) during their game at Neville Arena on the Auburn University campus in Auburn, Ala., on Monday evening December 29, 2025.

Hall set the tone of the game by scoring 16 first-half points, going 3-of-5 from three-point and 6-of-9 overall from the field. He scored just two points in the 2nd half, but his first-half efforts helped Auburn establish its dominance early on.

Phillip Jordan: Kevin Overton

Auburn Tigers guard Kevin Overton (1) puts in a three point shot against Queens University of Charlotte during their game at Neville Arena on the Auburn University campus in Auburn, Ala., on Monday evening December 29, 2025.

Overton was consistent in Monday's win over Queens. He connected on four field goals in the 1st half to take 13 points into the locker room, and added 10 more points in the 2nd half to finish second in scoring with 23. He was a key piece to Auburn's impressive three-point shooting as he led the team in the category with five makes.

Jac Myrick: Elyjah Freeman

Auburn Tigers guard Elyjah Freeman (6) dunks again st Queens University's Gus Larson (7) during their game at Neville Arena on the Auburn University campus in Auburn, Ala., on Monday evening December 29, 2025.

Sophomore guard Elyjah Freeman played efficiently on offense for the Tigers. From the beginning, it looked like a night was going to be in the cards for him after a monster dunk off an alley oop from Keyshawn Hall. Freeman shot 9-13 from the field, scored 27 points, and hauled in three rebounds in just 23 minutes. The Tigers could use another offensive piece outside of Hall, Overton, and Pettiford to step up in time for conference play.

Fan vote: Elyjah Freeman
