After fighting his way back from a cruciate ligament year, Kauã Santos returned to goal for Eintracht Frankfurt in September.
However, after conceding 18 goals in five games, the Brazilian goalkeeper was benched, with summer signing Michael Zetterer taking over in goal.
Since then, the 22-year-old has apparently impressed in training. Sport Bild suggests that Santos could see action again from January and might even reclaim his starting spot.
“We’re glad that Kauã is back in really good form. He’s training very well and has regained full confidence in his knee," said Eintracht Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmöller.
Eintracht Frankfurt kick off 2026 against Borussia Dortmund on January 9.
