An international forward made a visit to Liverpool just days ahead of the January transfer window.
Things are getting busy on Merseyside. Richard Hughes will be going through the realisation that even though the Reds strengthened a lot in the summer, there are still some areas where they are weak at the moment.
There's a lack of balance in the squad and it means the best action might have to be to make moves in the transfer window.
That's why Liverpool pursued a move for Antoine Semenyo. The Reds knew that he would be an ideal target and he could be the type of player who plays across the front three in multiple roles.
Unfortunately, he's off to Manchester City. But Liverpool are going to be keeping an eye on the market in the coming days ahead.

There are a few players on the club's radar, who the Reds really like and who might be available in the January window.
Although when it comes to attacking reinforcements, a summer move is more likely.
With that being said, it was interesting to note that recently a Hungarian international forward jetted off to Liverpool.
Zsombor Gruber speaking to Metropol confirmed that he's going to be visiting Anfield and his old teammate Armin Pecsi at Liverpool.
"My friends and I decided to surprise Ármin, so we're going to the Liverpool-Wolverhampton match on December 27th. We'll be there for three days after Christmas, and I'm looking forward to it, since we last met in the youth national team," Gruber said.
"We will be at Armin's, but not in Liverpool city centre because the players don't live there. We will live separately, but we will see each other a lot."
It's not the first time a teammate or former teammate has visited Anfield like this. Earlier on in the year Jorrel Hato was spotted at Anfield after he had been invited by Ryan Gravenberch.
Gruber is a talented forward, who at just 21-years-old is averaging a goal or assist every 70 minutes for Ferencvaros this season.
This is the club that are managed by Robbie Keane, who Naby Keita plays for. Two names who will be familiar on Merseyside.
Gruber will have plenty of incentives to go to Anfield. As he said, Liverpool's U21 goalkeeper, Armin Pecsi is a teammate of his with whom they went through the Puskas Akademia academy in Hungary, while also playing for the youth national teams of Hungary as well.
During one such occasion back in 2022, the two of them were part of the Hungarian U19 national team who were given a tour of Anfield as posted by the Hungarian FA on X.
Over three years later, Pecsi represents Liverpool and Gruber is a key player for the senior national team.
It's interesting to note both are represented by Dominik Szoboszlai's agency, EM Sports.
But like we said, Gruber's visit was nothing more than just a friend visiting another friend. Still it will have stirred up some rumours in his home country such as this report from NB1, considering it was just days before the transfer window opens in January.
