Despite having accumulated just 340 minutes with the first team, Roony Bardghji’s reputation has continued to grow since he signed for FC Barcelona.
The Swedish winger has not been a regular feature in Hansi Flick’s team, but the minutes he has played have left a very positive impression.
Having Lamine Yamal ahead of him in the right-wing position does not provide the best context for consistent playing time.
Even so, both the coaching staff and his teammates agree that the Scandinavian’s attitude and capacity to learn are highly commendable.
A wave of requests
However, according to SPORT, despite his limited involvement, interest from other clubs in securing his services has not diminished.
Indeed, in recent weeks, interest in Bardghji has grown. Clubs from all the major leagues have contacted the offices at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to enquire about a possible loan move. Among other approaches, there has been interest from Porto.
It must be noted that during the summer, soon after his arrival, there were already numerous proposals in case Barcelona decided he should go out on loan to gain minutes.

For example, Mallorca showed strong and persistent interest in taking him on loan, and there was also interest from clubs in the Premier League. Once the transfer window closed, the matter was put to rest. But the interest has resurfaced again.
Flick does not want to lose assets
Despite his limited impact in the first half of the season, the club are clear that Bardghji will not leave this January. Flick does not want to lose assets from the squad and is aware that setbacks will arise over the course of the campaign.
The Swedish international is more than satisfied with what he has seen from the winger and believes that he still has room to grow and to contribute much more to the team.
The situation may change once the season is over. Depending on his involvement and performances in the second half of the campaign, the club will consider whether a loan move to another competitive side would be more beneficial for his development.
To date, Bardghji has played 341 minutes across 13 appearances (four starts) and recorded one goal and two assists.
