Information for supporters travelling to Anfield

Leeds United travel to Anfield on Thursday evening to face Liverpool in the Premier League and we would like to thank every fan that will be making the journey to support the team.

During your trip, please remember that we are all representing not only Leeds United Football Club, but also the city of Leeds, and we ask that you always show respect to other fans, staff and players.

Dangerous behaviours, discriminatory language, tragedy chanting, and inappropriate gestures are not acceptable, and you could be breaking the law and face a football ban. The club has a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of hate and condemns these types of behaviours.

Some things to take into consideration ahead of travelling, can be found below.

Plan your journey early:

  • Whether you’re travelling by train/car/bus make sure you leave with plenty of time to spare before the game. It is highly recommend fans pre-book in a Safe and Secure car park to avoid fines, particularly if they are not familiar with the area. Parking can be found here.
  • Public transport is the easiest and most efficient way to reach the game and it is recommended that you plan your route in advance. Liverpool FC have created a comprehensive guide for visiting Anfield, including using public transport, which can be found by clicking here.

Stadium layout and policies:

  • Visiting fans will enter via entrance Q and R and must approach Anfield Road from the direction of 97 Avenue as there is no access from the direction of Arkles Lane. At the end of the game, please turn left.
  • There is not direct access to Anfield Road from Stanley Car Park. Access from Away Coach Parking and Stanley Car Park is along Dahlia Walk to 97 Avenue.
  • All bags will be subject to a visual search before entry to the stadium.
  • Only small handheld bags that do not exceed A5 size (148.5 x 210 mm / 5.8 x 8.3 inches) and LFC Superstore clear carrier bags containing Superstore purchases are allowed into the stadium.
  • Any supporter who needs to bring an oversized bag for medical reasons are advised to inform the club via email at least 48hrs before the game. The request should be sent to the Disability Team at [email protected]. An email approving the request will be returned to the supporter who may be asked to present it at the stadium.
  • Flags under 2m x 1m with a small pole (less than 7mm diameter and less than 1m long) will be allowed in all areas of the stadium. Flags over these measurements are permitted in the visitor’s section and must be checked prior to entry, providing they have accompanying fire safety.
  • There is a list of items prohibited in the stadium, including laptops and tablets, baby buggies/prams, and video recording equipment and large bodies cameras. To see the full list, click here.

Stay safe:

  • Keep others as safe as possible at all times, especially during any match incidents and both pre-match and at half-time in the concourses.
  • Remember that throwing objects and the use of flares, pyrotechnics and smoke bombs are strictly forbidden.
  • Remain in the seat you have purchased, and refrain from standing on your seats and blocking aisles in the away section.
