Referencing the recurring debate over Alonso’s future, Mijatović said, “We can’t always live with the same question. The coach has to work, the club has to work, and we have to give him time.”
Mijatović stressed that patience is key, pointing out that transitions take time and consistency is necessary to build a team’s identity and performance. “He has to have the support of the club and of those who truly understand what it means to lead Real Madrid,” he added, emphasizing that backing from within the organisation is essential for any coach to succeed.
While acknowledging the difficulties of the current period, Mijatović argued against reactionary decision-making based on short-term results.
