Bayern are rumored to be interested in three signings, while one sidelined star may be on her way out
According to Soccerdonna — the women’s soccer equivalent to Transfermarkt — FC Bayern Munich’s Frauen team is at the center of a handful of rumors ahead of the upcoming winter transfer window. These rumors include teams from the Frauen-Bundesliga and England’s WSL and include involve three include three incoming transfers and one outgoing. With one Bayern star already making her way to England this week, could another be on her way to England? Let us take a look at each of these:
Sport Bild — as reported by Soccerdonna — reports that Bayern is interested in signing two players from Bundesliga rivals, Eintracht Frankfurt. The first is German defensive midfielder, Elisa Senß. She has four goals and two assists in all competitions in the first half of this season. She has also become a mainstay with the German national team in 2025 — with 20 of her 30 caps coming in this calendar year. In those 30 caps, she has two goals and three assists.
Along with Senß, Bayern is rumored to be interested in poaching her teammate Nicole Anyomi from Eintracht. Anyomi has been with Frankfurt since summer of 2021 and has racked up 53 goals in 116 appearances. She already has twelve goals — more than any Bayern player — this season in all competitions. She has 31 caps with the German national team spread out since her debut in October 2020.
The third rumored incoming transfer is another German national team player, Sjoeke Nüsken. She also happens to be only two and half years removed from playing for Eintracht Frankfurt before transferring to Chelsea. Nüsken played in most matches her first two seasons in London, but has only made 10 appearances in all competitions this season — including just four league appearances. She too is a mainstay in the German national team, earning 53 caps since February of 2021. While the reports state Nüsken may be interested in a move away from Chelseas, unfortunately they admit that Bayern is not a likely landing spot.
The final rumor reported by Soccerdonna is that Bayern keeper Maria-Lusia “Mala” Grohs is likely to be on her way out. Grohs rocketed to a starting position in the 2022/23 season and kept her spot as Bayern’s number one until her diagnosis of cancer last winter. Though she made a speedy and full recovery, she lost her starting spot to Ena Mahmutovic, who joined the team the summer prior. Grohs has only made a handful of appearances since her comeback. Grohs has not been linked to a specific team, but is said to be looking at teams in England’s WSL. Hopefully she can find a team where she can get plenty of playing time and compete for the keeper position with the national team.
Which of these rumors would you like to see come to fruition?
