Kentucky takes on LSU to kick off 2026
It’s been a little while… it seems like I haven’t talked to you all since last year!
Alright, had to get the stereotypical new year joke out of the way.
Anyway, Happy New Year, Big Blue Nation!
I hope each of you had a great end to 2025 and are looking ahead to what 2026 brings. Hopefully, for us, it brings plenty of victories and memorable moments across the Kentucky Wildcats sports landscape.
We have a big game on the schedule tonight, as Kenny Brooks and the Cats face off against Kim Mulkey and the LSU Tigers in a New Year’s Day showdown.
Last year’s matchup between these two squads was a tough one for Kentucky, as the Wildcats entered halftime with a 12-point lead but saw LSU roar back in the third quarter and secure 65-58 win in Lexington.
Going on the road against a top-five team certainly is going to be a tough task for the Wildcats, who haven’t beaten the Tigers in Baton Rouge since 2019. However, a win tonight would be a major statement for the program if they can pull it off.
Tonight’s game is only available on SEC Network+, so make sure you have everything set up to catch all the action.
Go Cats!
Tweet of the Day
Good times. Also, I miss when this game was played late into December.
