Former Cardiff Devil Joshua Waller is again on the scoresheet as Guildford Flames win in the Welsh capital.
Guildford Flames completed a festive double against Elite League title challengers Cardiff Devils with a hard-fought win in the Welsh capital.
Two days earlier Flames beat Devils 1-0 with ex-Devil Joshua Waller the scorer on home ice.
Waller was again on the scoresheet after Josh MacDonald struck in the opening minute for the hosts to ensure the opening period ended level.
Matt Alvaro put the visitors ahead within a minute of the restart, but the second period also threatened to end level after MacDonald scored again for the hosts before Jamal Watson put Flames back in front with a rapid-fire response.
Alvaro added his second to put the visitors into a strong position early in the final period.
Joey Martin narrowed the gap for the hosts, but Ethan Strang completed Flames' win.
Devils host Dundee Stars on Saturday, 3 January (19:00 GMT) while Flames go to Nottingham Panthers (19:00 GMT).
