Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings: Second Injury Reports

One big change to focus on

Happy New Year, everybody! It’s time to take a look at the second injury reports of the week for both the Green Bay Packers and our Minnesota Vikings ahead of Sunday’s regular season finale at U.S. Bank Stadium, so let’s go ahead and get to those now.

Green Bay Packers

  • OL Donovan Jennings – DNP (throat, new addition to injury report)
  • WR Dontayvion Wicks – DNP (concussion)
  • WR Savion Williams – Limited —> DNP (foot/illness)
  • G Aaron Banks – Limited (illness/ankle)
  • LB Edgerrin Cooper – Limited (shoulder)
  • RB Josh Jacobs – Limited (knee/ankle)
  • LB Nick Niemann* – Limited (pectoral)
  • WR Jayden Reed – Limited (illness)
  • OL Zach Tom – Limited (back/knee)
  • DL Lukas Van Ness – Limited (illness/foot)
  • G John Williams* – Limited (back)
  • QB Malik Willis – Limited (right shoulder/hamstring)
  • QB Jordan Love – Full (left shoulder/concussion)

Only a couple of changes for the Packers, as they added Jennings to the injury report and downgraded Savion Williams from where he was in yesterday’s practice. Outside of that, even though Love has reportedly cleared concussion protocol, Packers coach Matt LaFleur has announced that Clayton Tune will get the start at quarterback for Green Bay on Sunday. We’ll address that in a separate post.

Minnesota Vikings

  • TE T.J. Hockenson – DNP (shoulder)
  • RB Aaron Jones – DNP (hip)
  • WR Myles Price – DNP (ankle)
  • OT Brian O’Neill – Limited (heel)
  • TE Gavin Bartholomew* – Full (back)
  • LB Blake Cashman – Limited —> Full (elbow)
  • RB Jordan Mason – Limited —> Full (ankle)
  • QB J.J. McCarthy – Limited —> Full (right hand)
  • DL Levi Drake Rodriguez – Limited —> Full (rib)

The big one for most Vikings fans is, obviously, McCarthy, who got a full practice in on Thursday and certainly appears to be on track to be the starter at quarterback for the Vikings in the season finale on Sunday. Cashman and Mason being back at practice in a full capacity is a nice bonus, too. The Vikings also took Harrison Smith off the injury report after his rest day on Wednesday.

Those are the interim injury reports, folks. The final Minnesota Vikings injury report of the 2025 season will come out tomorrow afternoon, and we’ll have it right here for your viewing pleasure shortly after it drops.
