Stop me if you’ve heard this one, but Georgia shook off a slow start and used some big plays on defense and some Gunners Stockton grit to secure a 21-12 halftime lead.
The Bulldogs have also done a great job of overcoming a Big Ten officiating crew that clearly got the memo about who the league wants Indiana facing down the road. I cannot explain to you why that vicious hit to Gunner Stockton’s head was not a targeting call, but Jacoby Thomas’s was via any other route.
The Bulldogs will get the ball coming out of the halftime locker room with a chance to take a three score lead. But they’ll need to hold the Ole Miss offense that’s been busy shooting itself in the foot as well. Charlie Weis, Jr. is going to scheme up some things in the second half, and the ‘Dawgs will need to keep up.
