Tracking the Bears' big plays all year on one sweet @gridironborn visual!
Modern football is all about big plays and as a companion piece to the STEP Differential, I’m tracking the Bears big plays all year in this Infogram:
Remember that you can click into the tabs on the lower left to see the tally by player and you can hover over any of the shapes on the right hand side of the visual to see a description of each play. Like last year, I’ll color code the plays on the right with the team color of the opponent. New this year I’ve added a timestamp this year to each play. Someone made a comment that the two Vikings games bled together. So, I went back to the Vikings game and inverted the color on the second game and did the same thing for the second Packers game. We’ll do the same thing for the Lions game in Week 18.
Most of the big plays were on offense this week with a season high seven explosive plays. It wasn’t enough to take home the W but it was dang close. The end of the season is so close and that honeycomb for explosive plays needed to be expanded a few weeks ago to make sure I didn’t run out of room. Awesome stuff.

I think all Bears games should start off like this…
Might be the throw of the year if we didn’t already have that last week…
This one’s good too…
Swift TD part one.
Huge explosive run. Swift is having his best year as a pro.
Love this throw.
Luther breaking ankles…
Loveland the “need a bucket” guy right now.
