Mizzou adds much-needed safety from portal

Mizzou makes its fifth transfer portal addition by adding Notre Dame running back JaDon Blair.

Missouri picked up its fifth commitment from the 2026 transfer portal in Notre Dame safety JaDon Blair. The news was confirmed by Blair on his Instagram.

Blair was a true freshman this season appearing in just one game for the Irish before redshirting the season. Missouri picks up the safety with four full years of eligibility. Out of high school, Blair was a four star recruit and a top 20 safety in his class. He chose Notre Dame over schools like South Carolina and Michigan.

The Winston Salem, North Carolina, native will look to add a bright future and athleticism to a depleted Tiger secondary. With Jalen Catalon out of eligibility and Marvin Burks Jr. in the transfer portal, this is a smart add from Missouri. I’d still expect the Tigers to make a move at at least one more safety before the portal ends.

Aside from Blair, the secondary room still has players like Santana Banner and Trajen Greco — who both recently re-signed with the Tigers. They’ll also bring in Class of 2026 secondary commits Carter Stewart and Brody Jones.

The transfer class continues to grow as Drinkwitz and company have plenty of holes still left to be filled.
