The Gophers are bringing in a punter and kickoff specialist
Utah State punter Zachary Robbins has committed to transferring to Minnesota.
He has three years of eligibility remaining.
Robbins is a punter and a kicker, and he handled kickoffs for the Aggies as a true freshman this season, notching 24 touchbacks on 53 kickoffs. It’s unclear if he is being brought in as a punter to challenge returning starter Tom Weston, or if he is coming to compete with fellow incoming transfer kicker Beckham Sunderland to take over as the kickoff specialist for next season now that Brady Denaburg has graduated.
