The All-Big 12 First Team player went for nearly 1,200 yards this season.
TCU redshirt senior wide receiver Eric McAlister turned in one of the best seasons for a wideout in school history, reeling in 72 catches for 1,190 yards and 10 touchdowns to earn All-Big 12 First Team recognition. McAlister will now turn his attention to his professional career, with the Azle, Texas native announcing Monday that he will be entering the 2026 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder spent two years with the Horned Frogs, catching 39 passes for 762 yards and five scores in 2024. McAlister, who averaged 17.6 yards per catch in his time at TCU, was a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist and an All-American by the Associated Press this season.
Prior to arriving in Fort Worth, McAlister played collegiately at Boise State, where he spent three seasons before transferring to TCU. In just nine games during the 2023 season, McAlister caught 47 passes for 873 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Broncos offense. As a redshirt freshman in 2022, McAlister appeared in 13 games, making two starts, and registered 259 yards receiving and four touchdowns on 11 catches. A three-star recruit out of high school, McAlister signed with Boise State over Utah, Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin and more.
McAlister’s highlights from this season include a massive, record-setting display against SMU, when he caught eight passes for 254 yards and three touchdowns in a victory over the Mustangs. McAlister eclipsed the 100-yard mark six times in 2025, closing out his career with eight catches for 69 yards in TCU’s 30-27 Alamo Bowl victory against USC. Should McAlister be selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, he’d be the fifth TCU wide receiver in the last four drafts to be picked, joining Jack Bech (2025), Savion Williams (2025), Quentin Johnston (2023) and Derius Davis (2023).
