Wales' promising prospects challenged to earn Six Nations spots after head coach Richard Whiffin named an extended training squad.
Cardiff wing Tom Bowen has been included in a 45-strong Wales training squad for the Under-20 Six Nations.
The 20-year-old was one of the standout players in the first block of the United Rugby Championship, scoring five tries, including a hat-trick against Munster in Limerick.
Bowen returns for another campaign at age-grade level along with Blue and Blacks centre Steffan Emanuel and lock Tom Cottle, Bath full-back Jack Woods, Exeter lock Luke Evans, Dragons flanker Evan Minto and Gloucester forwards Caio James and Deian Gwynne.
Wales kick off the Six Nations against England, who they stunned in Cardiff last year, on Friday, 6 February in Northampton (19:45 GMT).
Head coach Richard Whiffin will cut his squad, which features 13 England-based players, after a friendly against Cardiff RFC at the Arms Park on Friday, 16 January (19:30 GMT).
"It's a great opportunity for us to get time in with the boys in preparation before we begin the Six Nations," said Whiffin.
"It's an opportunity for us to connect with the players and it's an opportunity for those guys to put their hands up before we whittle the squad down to 36 or 37."
Wales start in England, welcome France and Scotland to the Arms Park, take on Ireland in Cork and then host Italy at Rodney Parade in Newport.
