Earlier this week, reports emerged in England suggesting that Chelsea were weighing up a major bid for Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr.
The Brazilian international has entered the final 18 months of his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu and with talks at a standstill, his future has become a topic of great speculation.
Chelsea were understood to be keen on the 25-year-old forward and considering tabling an offer of around £135 million (€158 million) for the winger.
Nothing to Vinicius-Chelsea rumours
However, providing a clarification on the matter, Fabrizio Romano has now stated that Chelsea have not sent an offer to Real Madrid for Vinicius nor are they planning to make any overtures.
There are no negotiations going on and no plans being made to move for the former Flamengo wonderkid.

Meanwhile, Vinicius himself has no intention of leaving Real Madrid at this stage, at least in the ongoing January transfer window.
Contract negotiations will restart at some point down the line and it remains to be seen whether an agreement can be reached or not.
However, what is clear at this point is that neither Chelsea are plotting a move for Vinicius, nor the player is considering leaving Real Madrid.
With Kylian Mbappe sidelined with an injury, the Brazilian has added responsibility to step up and become the leading figure in the Merengues’ attack once again, starting from tomorrow’s Super Cup semi-final vs Atletico Madrid, after a disappointing last year.
As for his contract, Real Madrid remain firm on not wanting to meet his salary and bonus demands, while the attacker has shown little intention of moving from his stance as well. Only time will tell if a compromise is agreed upon.
