Fujikura updates Ventus TR Blue with more stability and smoother feel

Fujikura refines Ventus TR Blue with enhanced VeloCore+ to boost stability, feel and speed while keeping its trusted mid-launch profile.

There’s a certain point in the life cycle of successful pieces of golf equipment when a question starts being: How do we make it better without getting too far away from what made people like it in the first place? That’s the territory Fujikura finds itself in with the next generation Ventus TR Blue.

For many fitters, Ventus Blue has become shorthand for stability, predictable launch, and tighter dispersion that doesn’t suddenly go away when a player tries to swing a little harder. The TR Blue, introduced as a slightly firmer, more tip-stable variation in 2022, earned its own following among players who load the shaft hard but still want a mid-launch, low-spin profile. Now, for 2026, Fujikura has a new version of Ventus TR Blue and is attempting to enhance performance while retaining what the shaft is all about.

At the heart of the new Ventus TR Blue is enhanced VeloCore+ technology, an evolution of the stability platform that has defined the Ventus family since 2018. VeloCore+ builds on the original multi-material bias core by adding another premium bias of material, designed to further reduce unwanted shaft deformation during transition and at impact. In plain English, that means the shaft resists twisting and ovaling more effectively, especially when the swing gets aggressive.

Fujikura pairs that with its spread tow fabric construction, which helps tighten consistency across the entire length of the shaft and improves energy transfer through the ball.

The result, according to Fujikura’s internal testing, is a smoother feel with more stability and, for many players, gains in clubhead speed without changing launch and spin windows.

Importantly, Fujikura did not chase a new ball flight. The new TR Blue stays true to the profile players already know. It sits squarely in the mid-launch, low-spin category, maintaining the same general trajectory characteristics as the previous TR Blue. According to Fujikura, where it differs is in how stable it feels throughout the swing and how consistently it delivers the clubhead back to the ball, particularly for players who tend to load the shaft early or pull hard from the top. That makes it a natural fit for stronger players, faster swingers and competitive amateurs who want control.

From a lineup standpoint, Fujikura positions the new Ventus TR Blue neatly between Ventus Blue and Ventus Black. It is not meant to replace either. Instead, it fills the gap for golfers who like the mid-launch characteristics of Blue but want additional stability closer to Black, without sacrificing feel. Available flexes run from 5-R through 9-X, with weights spanning roughly 50 to 90 grams, making it viable for a wide range of driver and fairway wood builds.

Pricing and availability stay consistent with what golfers have come to expect from premium aftermarket shafts. The new Ventus TR Blue will carry an MSRP of $350 and is scheduled to be available at retail beginning January 9, 2026, through authorized Fujikura Charter Dealers and select OEM custom programs.
