The Boston Fleet will have representatives on the five Olympic teams in February as a trio of players were named to their native countries’ Olympic rosters in the past 24 hours.
The Fleet announced Tuesday evening that defender Daniela Pejšová was named to the Czechia Olympic Women’s Hockey Team before announcing Wednesday morning that Laura Kluge would join Germany’s program. Later Wednesday, the team also announced that Alina Müller was joining Switzerland’s Olympic team in Milano Cortina.
Pejšová, of Teplice, Czechia, competed in the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. She has also participated in six IIHF Women’s World Championships, earning bronze medals in 2022 and 2023. During the 2022 tournament, Pejšová earned the title of Best Defender and was named an All-Star after compiling five goals and nine points in seven games.
Kluge, meanwhile, is from Berlin and is participating in her first Winter Olympics. The forward has competed in eight IIHF Women’s World Championships. She became Germany’s all-time leading scorer in the tournament in 2025.
Müller, of Winterthur, is competing in her fourth Olympics and was part of the bronze medal-winning team in Sochi in 2014. That medal earned the forward the distinction of becoming the youngest player in Olympic history to medal in the women’s competition. She has also taken part in nine IIHF Women’s World Championships.
The trio join four other Fleet players in representing their countries in Milano Cortina. Susanna Tapani was named to the Finland roster, while Aerin Frankel, Megan Keller and Haley Winn have all been named to the United States’ national team.
Team USA opens its Olympics with a preliminary round game against Czechia on Feb. 5 at 4:40 p.m.
The Fleet will honor all of its Olympic athletes during its home game on Jan. 28 against the New York Sirens. The game is the team’s final competition ahead of the Olympic break.
