Eintracht Frankfurt have further bolstered their attack by signing French centre forward Arnaud Kalimuendo from Nottingham Forest.

Frankfurt said on Wednesday night that Kalimuendo arrives from England on loan for the rest of the season, with an option to buy.

Kalimuendo, 23, came through the Paris Saint-Germain academy and went to Nottingham last summer for some €30 million ($35 million) from Stade Rennes. However, he failed to become a regular starter at the Premier League side.

"He has pace, makes runs behind the defence and is a clinical finisher, and he also works really hard off the ball. It was important for us that he was not only a very good fit in terms of the football he plays, but also in terms of his character," Frankfurt board member for sport Markus Krösche said.

The Bundesliga club had earlier signed second division top scorer Younes Ebnoutalib from Elversberg while offloading Elye Wahi on loan to Ligue 1 club Nice.

Coach Dino Toppmöller is without injured forwards Jonathan Burkardt und Michy Batshuayi ahead of their Bundesliga restart on Friday against Borussia Dortmund.
