The Bundesliga returns from its winterpause tomorrow, with Borussia Dortmund up against Eintracht Frankfurt. I had it in my head that the Ruckründe would kick off towards the end of January, so this came as a bit of a shock to me. BVB News
- Borussia Dortmund’s proposed move for Manchester City’s Oscar Bobb is in doubt, with the total package (reportedly around €70m) being deemed too rich for BVB’s blood.
- Gregor Kobel left BVB’s winter training camp in Marbella early due to illness. His availability for the Frankfurt game tomorrow evening is now up in the air.
- There have been conflicting reports about Aaron Anselmino’s future, but Patrick Berger has said that Chelsea are considering recalling the center-back and a lot will depend on what new Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior wants.
- BVB’s bosses reportedly had multiple meetings in the last week to discuss squad planning and transfers, and it is still unclear whether Dortmund will make any moves this month. It sounds like the conversation was quite heated, and I have to assume Niko Kovač was responsible for raising the temperature.
