Rashee Rice was previously in a relationship with Dacoda Nichole.

The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver and the fitness trainer were in a relationship for several years and welcomed two children together. During their time together, Nichole frequently attended Chiefs games.

On Jan. 7, 2026, Nichole shared an Instagram post in which she alleged that she was the victim of domestic violence. She did not name the alleged perpetrator but did imply he is the father of her children. Nichole wrote about the allegations alongside several photos of bruises, cuts and marks on her body, as well as alleged damage the person caused to the home.

"I’ve been through too much in a span of 8 years and I’ve had ENOUGH!" she captioned the pictures. "I’ve dealt with abuse for years, me and this man decided to break up a couple months ago and since then it’s been nothing but hell."

Rice was drafted to the Chiefs in 2023 after playing college football at Southern Methodist University. However, he was suspended for the first six games of the 2025 season after he was involved in a hit-and-run street racing crash in Dallas.

She’s a fitness trainer

Nichole works as a health and wellness personal trainer. She runs the organization Body by Coda, which offers individual training and helps "women achieve their dream bodies."

In addition to her Body by Coda Instagram page, she also utilizes her personal page to promote her business and shares photos and videos of her lifting weights, getting ready to hit the gym, doing squats and showcasing other exercise routines.

During their years-long relationship, Nichole and Rice welcomed two children together: sons Cayden and Cassai.

Ahead of the 2025 holiday season, Nichole shared several photos from a photo shoot that showed her posing with her sons in front of holiday-themed backgrounds.

"My favorite gifts no matter the season," she captioned the post.

Although Nichole keeps much of her sons' lives private, she has occasionally posted pictures of the boys swimming together, joining her for errands and playing.

Meanwhile, Rice — who has deleted his Instagram amid Nichole's claims — previously smiled with his kids in photos when they visited him at practice. In 2023, the SMU football team shared a picture of Rice holding one of his sons, while he was chatting with head coach Rhett Lashlee.

Separate Chiefs fan accounts have also included photos of Rice smiling with his kids on Facebook in 2023 and 2025.

She previously supported Rice at his games

While Nichole and Rice were dating, she showed her support for him by attending several of his Chiefs games.

In October 2025, Nichole brought their boys to a game and dressed them in their dad's jersey. She posted photos of the three of them watching the game and included a snap of the boys standing up and cheering for their dads in the stands.

One year prior, she shared photos of her wearing Rice's jersey while posing with him and one of their sons on the field. Over the years, she's also included pictures of her watching the game from a private suite and posing in the stands of Arrowhead Stadium.

Nichole alleged she was a victim of domestic violence

On Jan. 7, 2025, Nichole alleged that she was the victim of domestic violence, but she did not name her alleged abuser. She shared her claims by posting several photos on Instagram of bruises on her body, scratches across her face and pieces of her home destroyed.

Nichole explained that she was telling her story, because she was "so tired of keeping quiet" and "protecting his image," without clarifying who she was referring to.

"He’s very controlling there’s been times he’s came to my new home broken my door, there’s been times when he would put his hands on me while I was pregnant even had the audacity to lock me outside all night in ten degree weather because he got caught cheating," she alleged.

However, Nichole said in her post that the main reason she wanted to share her allegations was because of her children and the person "not doing right by my boys."

"It’s not fair he doesn’t call them ... He’s now trying to remove me and my kids from our home for no apparent reason. I’ve known this man for YEARS. He tries to put on this persona like he’s dad of the year. He does the bare minimum and I have to beg for that," she alleged, while later adding, "I’ve protected his image too long and I’m done doing that. It’s time to protect my peace, protect my children and stand up for myself."

Shortly after Nichole made her claims about the unnamed person, the Chiefs responded to the allegations.

“The club is aware of the allegations on social media and is in communication with the National Football League. We have no further comment at this time,” the team said in a statement to PEOPLE on Jan. 7, without naming Rice.

PEOPLE has reached out to Rice’s agent but has not heard back. Rice has also not addressed his ex-girlfriends claims and he has not been charged with any crimes related to the allegations.
