When will João Cancelo undergo Barcelona medical?

Incoming Barcelona signing João Cancelo is expected to arrive in Spain to undergo his medical examinations on Friday.

This of course comes ahead of the Portuguese international penning a short-term deal with the Blaugrana.

Cancelo, after falling out of favour at Saudi outfit Al-Hilal, was recently made available on loan.

Barcelona, on the lookout for reinforcements at the back, therefore quickly threw their hat in the ring for the 31-year-old’s signature.

After Cancelo made clear his desire for a reunion with the reigning Spanish champions, negotiations between the Camp Nou brass and their Al-Hilal counterparts quickly bore fruit.

And as alluded to above, late this week, the final formalities for the transfer to be made official are set to be carried out.

As per a report from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo:

‘Cancelo’s medical examination is scheduled by the club for tomorrow, so barring any last-minute changes, this Friday could be the Portuguese player’s big day.’
