According to a report from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich holding out hope that Crystal Palace center-back Marc Guéhi will avoid signing with Manchester City this month and still be available during the summer transfer window.

At that point, Guéhi will be a free agent and Bayern Munich could be looking to make an advantageous signing;

Marc Guéhi is still on Bayern’s list. Bayern are hoping the Englishman wouldn’t join Manchester City this month so they would still stand a chance for a potential free transfer in the summer.

With Dayot Upamecano’s contract extension considered to be imminent, it changes the situation of what Guéhi’s role in Bavaria would be. Upamecano and Jonathan Tah would likely continue to be the starters, but Kim Min-jae could be a candidate for sale.

Regardless of any of that, Guéhi will be a hotly sought after player in the transfer market, especially as a free agent. Bayern Munich might have dig seep into its coffers to land the Englishman.
