The Steelers’ quarterback took an obvious jab at his former team.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have won the AFC North for the first time since 2020, setting up a wild card matchup against the Houston Texans.
Perhaps the largest reason the Steelers made it to this point is 42-year-old quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The future Hall of Famer finished the 2025 season with 24 touchdowns and just seven interceptions while finishing a respectable 14th in passer rating. Speaking to the media on Thursday, Rodgers was reflecting on his first season with the Steelers and what he’s enjoyed about being a Steeler, to which he lighted how tight-knit the group is.
“There aren’t any leaks in the boat,” Rodgers said. “It’s the antithesis of where I was….to be able to focus on football and not have a lot of other little bullsh*t out there has been really nice.”
Rodgers’ time with the Jets was filled with controversy and rumors of the four-time MVP getting former Jets head coach Robert Saleh fired. Upon getting released by the Jets and signing with the Steelers, many wrote both he and Pittsburgh off before the season, citing that Rodgers didn’t have anything left. With a division title under his discount double-check belt in Pittsburgh, it’s safe to say he’s proven a lot of people wrong.
