Wesley receives last-minute call-up for Sassuolo clash

Today at 6:00 PM, Roma will welcome Fabio Grosso’s Sassuolo to the Stadio Olimpico for the first match of the second half of the season.

The Neroverdi will have to contend with two crucial absences: neither Berardi nor Thorstvedt will be playing.

At home, however, Dovbyk and Wesley were initially left out of the Giallorossi squad.

The Ukrainian striker suffered a minor muscle tear in his left thigh in the match against Lecce, while the Brazilian full-back was battling a bout of flu.

However, the Brazilian defender has recovered from his fever and is being brought back to action at the last minute by Gian Piero Gasperini for tonight’s match.

It remains to be seen whether the Piedmontese coach will decide to start him or start on the bench.
