A former Vero Beach High football star is returning to the Sunshine State to join a finalist in this year's College Football Playoff.
Wide receiver Vandrevius Jacobs, who starred in Vero's 2022 region final run, announced his transfer to the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday, Jan. 10 via his personal Instagram account.
Jacobs will be joining his third college football program. He originally signed with Florida State and played the last two seasons with South Carolina.
Jacobs emerged as a starter for the Gamecocks and enjoyed his best collegiate season in 2025 with 32 receptions for 548 yards and four touchdowns.
A four-star prospect in the Class of 2023, Jacobs caught 100 passes for 1,511 yards and 21 touchdowns in a stellar senior season. He was a central playmaker in Vero's 11-2 finish and appearance in the Class 4S region final.
Jacobs will join one of the hottest college football programs in the country as the Miami Hurricanes are set to play the Indiana Hoosiers in the final of the College Football Playoff on Jan. 19 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
