A record-setting performance from a former Blue Devil
Trevor Keels has been somewhat quiet since leaving Duke in 2022 as a second-round draft pick of the New York Knicks. He probably could have used some more time in Durham but that was his decision and he’s still grinding away, trying to get to the league.
His last G-League performance with the Sioux Falls Skyforce is going to catch a lot of people’s attention.
Keels shot 14-16 from behind the line and hit 12 straight.
Keels finished with a G-League record 42 points.
The Skyforce is affiliated with the Miami Heat, which is obviously going to be pleased with that sort of an outburst. However, that doesn’t meant they’re going to be able to sign him. A lot of factors go into that.
However, his current coach, Dan Bisacchio, says that Keels has been working hard, especially on defense, and things are starting to fall into place for him and that a lot of teams might find him attractive now.
