Girona B left Sa Pobla empty-handed after losing by the minimum (1-0) against Poblense, in an intense and highly contested match that was decided by small details. The red-and-white reserve team competed until the end but lacked precision in the final meters to secure at least a point.
The match started at a high pace with a brave Girona B, which did not back down at any moment against a strong home opponent. The Girona team tried to keep possession and play out from the back, but they faced a very solid and well-organized Poblense.
Chances were scarce during a fairly balanced first half, marked more by control and midfield battles than clear opportunities. Only with an isolated action before the break, Poblense managed to score the only goal of the match.
In the second half, the match was much more linear, and Girona could not find opportunities to reach the opponent's goal. In the final minutes, the red-and-whites reached the opposing half but without creating danger.
