VI are reporting that Go Ahead Eagles have shown interest in Djurgardens defender Theo Bergvall, brother of Lucas Bergvall who plays in the Premier League for Spurs. The Eagles are in need of another right-back as they currently only have club captain Mats Deijl as an option in that position. Bergvall is seen as a back up and potentially a future replacement for Deijl should he leave the club. Given the sides cup win last year and being able to play in Europe, expectations are that players will attract more interest.
Theo and Lucas both played together at Djurgardens, the side from the Stockholm capital. Theo has played for the club since 2023, when he joined on a free from another Stockholm side in Brommapojkarna. Bergvall the younger had only played 17 games for the side before joining Djurgardens. He spent the 2024 season back on loan with Brommapojkarna before breaking into the Djurgardens first team this past season. In 2025 he played 24 games for the side, providing two assists from right-back.
