Real Madrid sign teenage Spanish forward in loan-to-buy deal for reserve team

Having sanctioned the loan deal of Endrick to Olympique Lyon, Real Madrid are not expected to do any business during the remainder of the January transfer window.

However, the club’s reserve side, Castilla, remains active in the winter market, having notably made a coup by signing a talented Spanish forward.

The player in question is Adrian Arnu, a Real Valladolid striker, who could be on the verge of making the move to the Spanish capital.

Adrian Arnu joins Real Madrid’s reserve team

According to Matteo Moretto, Real Madrid have completed the capture of Arnu, who is currently 18 and was promoted to the Real Valladolid first-team at the start of the season.

Moretto adds that Real Madrid have acquired Arnu’s services on a loan deal, with an option to buy the player permanently at the end of the season.

Although the youngster doesn’t have a goal to his name in La Liga 2, he has featured in just 100 minutes of league action.

Real Madrid are set to incorporate Arnu into the RM Castilla setup, where he will be directly competing with the likes of Loren Zuniga, Alvaro Leiva and Rachad Fettal.

It must be noted that Arnu will not be managed by Alvaro Arbeloa anymore, as the former right-back has been promoted as the direct replacement for Xabi Alonso.

Instead, Arnu will be under the leadership of Julian Lopez de Lerma. The change of managers could benefit the youngster, as Lerma may have different ideas and might favour different players to support his tactical vision.

Coming in as someone who is known for his goalscoring instincts inside the box and a regular in the Spanish youth international teams, Arnu certainly has a lot of potential within the RM Castilla setup.
