Jake Knapp has a great tunnel vision approach to golf

Jake Knapp is ready for the upcoming professional golf season

The PGA Tour season is kicking off this week at the Sony Open in Hawaii and one of the more interest players in the field is Jake Knapp.

Knapp picked up more exposure last season after firing a round of 59, but his game has been rising for some time. 2026 marks an important year for Jake, one where he has a lot of goals that he’d like to accomplish, and he was kind enough to take some time on Tuesday to discuss it all with us.

Knapp noted that he still has some events that he would like to play into it, such is life in professional golf. It is the kind of game and world where knocking one domino over can suddenly lead to a run of them which is certainly something that could be in Jake’s future.

During our discussion Jake noted that this week’s event will be demanding and that every event on Tour is demanding in its own unique ways. He brought up the next few weeks and naturally our conversation turned to a place where the PGA Tour is obviously going to look different in that timeframe thanks to Brooks Koepka’s return.

Professional golfers each have different mindsets, getting to this level requires different things from different people, and Knapp noted in regards to Brooks or his game in general that he prefers to have a tunnel vision of sorts and focus on the task/tournament at hand. This is a great disposition to hold with regards to life in general and something that we can all learn from.

If it isn’t obvious, Knapp’s personality is one that people are starting to really enjoy and it was on display recently during the Tito’s Shorties Classic, an event that he participated in that helped raise money for charity. You can watch Knapp, Ben Griffin, Keith Mitchell, and Charley Hull as a part of it all on the SkratchTV YouTube Channel.

Golf is here, and so is Jake Knapp. Be ready for it all.
