Following AS Monaco's qualification against Orléans (1-3), the draw for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France has taken place. The Rouge et Blanc will face Strasbourg at the beginning of February.
Next stop, Round of 16! Having beaten US Orléans last Saturday at the Stade de la Source, in the round of 32 of the Coupe de France (1-3), the AS Monaco players now know their next opponent in the competition. Following the draw broadcast on beIN Sports, the Rouge et Blanc were drawn against Racing Club de Strasbourg, whom they will face on Tuesday, February 3rd or Wednesday, February 4th.

Have the same performance as in August
Winners against AJ Auxerre in the Round of 64 (1-2) and then US Orléans thanks to a double by George Ilenikhena (1-3), Sébastien Pocognoli’s men won their first two matches in the Old Lady. They will now need to replicate that performance to continue their adventure on Racing’s home ground, the Monegasques having previously managed to beat them at the Stade Louis-II in August (3-2).
The objective will therefore be to make it two wins in a row and thus confirm a favorable historical record, as the two teams have already met twice in the competition, resulting in two victories for Monaco: in the round of 32 during the 1952-1953 season (3-2), and then in the quarterfinals in 1957-1958 (2-1).
