Marine City boys basketball outlasts rival Marysville in overtime

Led by 19 points from Myles Minano, the Mariners eclipsed Marysville in overtime of a MAC Silver boys basketball game on Wednesday, Jan. 14.

PORT HURON — Here are the boys high school basketball results for Wednesday, Jan. 14, in the Blue Water Area.

Marine City 66, Marysville 59 (OT)

Myles Minano scored a game-high 19 points for Marine City (3-5). Dakota Droptiny followed with 15 points. The Mariners welcome St. Clair Shores Lake Shore at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16.

Dae'Vion Brunhuber had 15 points to lead Marysville (3-7). Brady Wright and Cole Hooper both added 12 points. The Vikings travel to Warren Mott at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16.

Macomb Dakota 81, Port Huron Northern 56

Port Huron Northern (7-3) heads to Roseville at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16.

Marlette 40, Memphis 23

Payne Degelback scored 11 points to guide Marlette (2-5). Jonathan Johnson contributed nine points. The Red Raiders entertain Brown City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16.

Taylin Yoes led all scorers with 12 points for Memphis (1-8). James Rohde added eight points and nine rebounds. The Yellowjackets are idle until Wednesday, Jan. 21, when they visit Capac at 7:30 p.m.

New Haven 59, St. Clair 54

Braylon Frantz scored 16 points to lead St. Clair (6-5). Evan Trudeau had 13 points and Michael Frantz followed with 12. The Saints travel to St. Clair Shores Lakeview at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16.

Port Huron 61, St. Clair Shores Lake Shore 41

Ashton Cook amassed 19 points and six rebounds for Port Huron (4-7). Bradyn Hinton totaled 14 points and five steals while Parrison Rome had 11 points and nine boards. The Red Hawks host New Haven at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16.

Cardinal Mooney 61, Ann Arbor Greenhills 20 (Tuesday)

Cullen Knuth had 20 points to guide Cardinal Mooney (7-4). Kevin Smart added 10 points, four assists and four rebounds. The Cardinals entertain Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15.

Croswell-Lexington 69, North Branch 44 (Tuesday)

Cam Saunders scored 17 points for Croswell-Lexington (9-3). Max Noll added 14 points while Shane Slanec had 12. The Pioneers visit Armada at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15.

Lapeer 57, Almont 52 (Tuesday)

Blake Lane finished with 17 points to lead Almont (6-4). Sean O'Neil contributed 14 points while Brody Corneau added 10. The Raiders welcome Imlay City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16.
