According to a recent revelation from Patrick Berger and Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is already in contact with Rafaela Pimienta, the agent of Erling Haaland.
The report suggests that the Real Madrid president is actively exploring the conditions around a potential future move, even though he is fully aware that completing such a transfer would be extremely complicated.
Perez is said to dream of making the deal happen as early as this summer, but financial reality remains the biggest obstacle.
There are many obstacles
Any move for Haaland would require an extraordinary financial commitment, as the total package, including transfer fee, signing bonuses, and a long-term salary, is estimated to be around €500 million.
This figure alone makes the operation one of the most difficult deals in football history, even for a club with Real Madrid’s economic strength.
Despite the complexity, Haaland’s personal preference keeps the story alive.

The forward sees the Spanish giants as his dream destination and a key personal goal he wants to achieve at some point in his career.
He aspires to play in Spain
Despite rejecting Real Madrid once in his career, his admiration for Spain has never faded.
Haaland is described as a huge fan of the country and still views Real Madrid as the ultimate stage for his career.
However, turning that dream into reality will not be easy, as his current contract runs until 2034, giving City enormous leverage in any negotiation.
On top of the financial demands, Madrid would likely need to reshape their squad dramatically.
In that regard, a departure of Vinicius Jr. is seen as a prerequisite, both from a sporting and financial perspective.
Even then, committing more than €500 million to a single player raises serious questions about feasibility.
