Newport sign Scottish forward Jamieson

Newport County sign forward Lewis Jamieson from United Soccer League Championship club Sacramento Republic – their fifth signing of the January transfer window.

Newport County have signed forward Lewis Jamieson from United Soccer League Championship club Sacramento Republic – the League Two club's fifth signing of the January transfer window.

Scottish-born Jamieson came through the ranks at St Mirren and he scored one goal in 17 appearances during six seasons with the club.

During his time at the Paisley-based club he spent loan spells at Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Airdrie, Raith Rovers and two stints with Clyde.

The 23-year-old. who moved to North America in January 2025, has signed a contract that will see him stay at Rodney Parade until the summer of 2027.
