Seminoles gain a defensive lineman
The Florida State coaching staff has landed a commitment from Texas State defensive tackle Jordan Sanders, who today announced his intention to transfer to FSU.
Sanders, a 6-foot-4, 306 pound run stuffer, is originally from Hawthorne, California. He spent his first three seasons at Cal Poly before joining the Bobcats for the 2025 season. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Sanders played 365 snaps in 13 games for the Bobcats last season, making 16 tackles (3.5 for loss) and a forced fumble. He earned a 77.0 overall defensive PFF grade, with a 73.3 for rush defense and a 71.7 for pass rush. His tackling, however, registered a 34.9, which is certainly concerning.
Florida State likes his versatility and believes he can play in multiple spots along the defensive line. He is a welcomed addition for a position group that has seen massive turnover this offseason. FSU beat out Mississippi State, Cal, and Oklahoma State for Sanders.
