The match carries special meaning for the young forward Ibrahima Mbaye, who was born to a Senegalese father and a Moroccan mother. But, as his parents confirmed to RMC Sport, the entire family will naturally be backing the Teranga Lions.
"There’s immense pride in seeing him play in his mother’s country and represent his father’s. It’s wonderful for everyone! For us, this is the dream final. Senegal and Morocco are both Ibrahima’s homelands. But there’s no teasing between us—we’re all with Senegal! What we admire most about him is his adaptability and maturity," said his mother, Yasmin.
