AC Milan newcomer Niclas Füllkrug was the victim of a robbery in the hotel he is staying at in Milan.

According to the police, the thieves stole watches and jewellery worth around €500,000 ($578,550) from his hotel room.

The Italian news agency ANSA reported, citing police sources, that the unknown perpetrators forced open the safe while Füllkrug was away. The 32-year-old noticed the break-in on Saturday when he returned to his hotel room.

According to the report, investigators are now reviewing surveillance camera footage from the hotel and the neighbourhood to track down the perpetrators.

Füllkrug joined Milan from West Ham on a loan at the beginning of January, but he reportedly won't be available for Sunday's home game against Lecce due to a broken toe.

The striker has been plagued by injuries, which have also affected his involvement with the Germany national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
