Another week of winter high school sports has come and gone in the Greater Taunton area.
Last week, Bridgewater-Raynham basketball scored a pair of wins over their Pioneer Athletic Conference foes, with one player scoring a career-high. Somerset Berkley/Case/Dighton-Rehoboth/Seekonk gymnastics won a third straight meet while a Bridgewater-Raynham/West Bridgewater gymnast earned a season-high score and Bishop Stang hockey continued to look strong.
The Taunton Daily Gazette High School Girls Athlete of the Week for Jan. 5-11 is Taunton swimming's Elizabeth Tobolski, receiving 86% of the vote. Taunton basketball's Sophia Forrester came in second with 7% while Taunton indoor track's Sophia Olaniyan received 6.71% to finish third, trailing second place by just nine votes.

Marybel DoRosario, Taunton
DoRosario had a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds against Canton.
Camden Strandberg, Bridgewater-Raynham
Strandberg had a career-high double-double of 33 points and and 15 rebounds, as well as a pair of blocks, against Dartmouth.
Hockey
Ella Cohen, MOA Warriors
Cohen had a hat trick against Ashland.
Lauren McPherson, West Bridgewater/East Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raynham/Bristol-Plymouth/Southeastern/Middleboro/Cardinal Spellman/Hull
McPherson had a hat against Quincy/North Quincy.
Wrestling
Hannah Dyckman, Bristol Aggie/Dighton-Rehoboth
Dyckman finished fourth overall in the 120 lb. weight class at the 2026 Cohasset Invitational.
Gymnastics
Lily Moreira, Bridgewater-Raynham/West Bridgewater
Moreira had a season-high score of 9.45 on the bars and a 9.5 on the beam against Norton.
Indoor Track
Allie Dubreus, Bridgewater-Raynham
Dubreus won the 300 meter (0:45.38, personal best) at a South Shore League meet.
Swimming
Megan Viveiros, Taunton
Viveiros won the 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle against Norton.
