Barcelona confirm Ferran Torres injury ahead of Slavia Prague clash

The Spain star will miss the next couple of games.

Barcelona have confirmed that Ferran Torres has been ruled out for around 10 days ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League tie against Slavia Prague.

The forward finished Sunday’s defeat to Slavia Prague with some hamstring discomfort and will now spend time on the sidelines to recover.

Barcelona confirmed the news and also announced that Raphinha is fit after missing the trip to Anoeta.

“Raphinha has been given the medical all-clear, while Ferran Torres has suffered an injury to the semimembranosus muscle in his right leg and will be unavailable, with an estimated recovery time of around ten days,” the club said in a statement.

Raphinha looks set to return to the starting XI, with Robert Lewandowski and Marcus Rashford also expected to be in the XI. Hansi Flick will also be without Lamine Yamal for this game as he’s out due to suspension.

Goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has also been left out of the travelling squad as he closes in on a loan move to Girona.
