FC Barcelona has issued an update regarding the injury to their Spanish forward Ferran Torres, who was hurt during the recent clash with Real Sociedad, played Sunday night as part of La Liga's 20th matchday.

In an official statement released this Tuesday, the Catalan club confirmed that medical tests have detected a muscle tear in the player's right leg.

At 25 years old, Ferran Torres will be sidelined for an estimated period of around ten days before considering a gradual return to action.

According to Spanish daily AS, the Spanish international will miss the Champions League showdown against Slavia Prague scheduled for Wednesday, as well as the league fixture versus Real Oviedo at the end of the week.

For the record, Ferran Torres has made 27 appearances for Barcelona across all competitions this season, netting 15 goals and providing one assist.
