Kaizer Chiefs secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Golden Arrows in a Betway Premiership clash at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday.
The Soweto giants scored the decisive goal in the 39th minute thanks to Aden McCarthy, who headed home after the visitors failed to deal with a free-kick.
As result, Chiefs climbed to third on the log standings - two points behind table-toppers Mamelodi Sundowns, having picked up 27 points in 14 league outings.
Co-coaches Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef will now prepare the Glamour Boys for their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup clash against ZESCO United of Zambia on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Arrows sit 10th with 16 points from 15 games, and return to action with a visit from Stellenbosch FC on Tuesday, 27 January.
