The Georgia Bulldogs dropped in the US LBM Coaches Poll after having a disappointing run in the College Football Playoff.
The Georgia Bulldogs dropped down to the No. 5 ranking in the final edition of the US LBM Coaches Poll for the 2025-2026 college football season. Georgia dropped three spots from the No. 2 ranking the Dawgs had entering the playoff.
Just like last season, Georgia won the SEC championship, but lost in the Sugar Bowl. This season, Georgia lost in a heartbreaker on a last-second field goal from the Ole Miss Rebels in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals. Georgia (12-2) finishes the year ranked behind No. 4 Oregon, No. 3 Ole Miss, No. 2 Miami and No. 1 Indiana.
Georgia finishes the year with top-25 wins over No. 24 Georgia Tech, No. 13 Texas, No. 9 Alabama and No. 3 Ole Miss. The Bulldogs also suffered their two defeats to Alabama and Ole Miss. Georgia spent the entire season ranked inside the top-10. Georgia has finished every season ranked inside the top-10 since the 2016-2017 season.
For the 2026 season, Georgia is ranked No. 3 in the way-too-early rankings. Georgia checks in behind No. 2 Ohio State and No. 1 Texas in next season's projection.
