Chloe Chambers has earned a Mahindra Racing seat for Formula E's rookie free practice at the Miami E-Prix
Chloe Chambers, who completed her second and final F1 Academy season with a third-place finish in 2025, has secured a seat in the Formula E rookie free practice session at the Miami E-Prix.
The American driver scored the seat in her first Formula E session after completing the championship's women's test in October 2025, where she put in the best time of the day at 1m22.767s.
Chambers will join Mahindra Racing for the free practice, the same team she completed the women's test with last year.
"Can’t wait to be back behind the wheel of a Formula E car with Mahindra Racing in Miami next week for the rookie free practice!" she wrote on Instagram. "Huge thanks to the team for giving me the opportunity again!"

Fans were quick to share their support for the young driver. "Can't wait to see you driving the GEN3 Evo," one commented, while another added: "Let’s go Chloe!!"
The rookie free practice, set for Friday 30 January at 14:30 local time ahead of the Miami E-Prix, is a 40-minute session aimed at providing drivers from other series track time in a Formula E GEN3 Evo car.
The 21-year-old started karting at the age of seven and went on to compete a year later, winning the Kid Kart Championship. In addition to F1 Academy, Chambers has also raced in Formula 4 United States, the W Series, the Formula Regional Oceania Championship, the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America and the Formula Winter Series.
In 2022, she took part in a one-day Formula 3 test at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours in France, and a second test in July 2024 at Silverstone. Chambers is also signed to two-time Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso's management company, A14.
