Questions
It was long a time since we scored 6 goals, even against a team not so good as Monaco. But there were some red flags out there. First, Ceballos’ mistake. He is a profile we need, but imo he is not that reliable — physically and technically. He can help progress the ball, but sometimes his laborious in the build-up and make mistakes. And I believe he will be given more playtime under Arbeloa than Xabi.
But most importantly than individual mistakes, the collective. Monaco had an xG of 2.15 and we had only 49% possession. Up to be seem how we will perform against better teams, defensively and offensively.
Arbeloa next test is Saturday, against Villarreal.
