Now, according to MARCA, the attacking midfielder is set to return to training with Real Madrid today.

He does so visibly affected by the outcome of the final, but the report underlines an important detail that, despite the disappointment, Brahim feels emotionally stronger.

The overwhelming support he has received from fans in Morocco, as well as from across the football world, has helped him regain perspective and motivation.

It is a ‘new’ Brahim returning to Valdebebas, but one who is fighting for something familiar and deeply important – a place at Real Madrid.

His situation is far from simple, with fierce competition in attacking areas.

What works in Brahim’s favour is the fact that his playing time at the AFCON, where he scored five goals in seven matches.

This form has not gone unnoticed by his new coach, Alvaro Arbeloa, who holds the attacking midfielder in high regard and values his versatility, character, and resilience.

Renewal on the cards

Beyond the pitch, a contract renewal has been progressing for months, with Real Madrid making notable strides towards an agreement.

The club sees Brahim as a key figure in its medium-to-long-term plans and wants to secure his services accordingly.

Although his current contract runs until 2027, discussions are already focused on extending it for several more years.

If finalised as expected, the renewal would commit Brahim to Real Madrid for at least the next five years.
