Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson before the end of the winter transfer window, according to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein. Spurs manager Thomas Frank wants to strengthen at the back and a move to bring the Scotland international to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club is on the cards. Amicable negotiations between all parties are advancing, and Robertson could be on his way to the North London club in the coming days.

The 31-year-old is out of contract in the summer and is currently behind Milos Kerkez in the pecking order of Liverpool manager Arne Slot at the Anfield club. The Reds could look to recall Kostas Tsimikas from his loan spell with AS Roma if they insist on getting a cover for Kerkez, while Joe Gomez can also play as a left-back. Tottenham had planned to go for Robertson at the end of the season and sign him as a free agent, but Frank is desperate to strengthen his ranks this month after several injuries woes.

Adding the Liverpool hero to his defence will be huge for the Spurs boss given the experience and quality the Scottish defender brings to the table.
