2024 F1 Academy champion Abbi Pulling will take part in the Formula E rookie free practice session at the Miami E-Prix with Nissan.

The British driver previously topped the Formula E women's test in 2024 and finished second in 2025, and took part in the 2025 Berlin Rookie Test. She already serves as the Nissan rookie and simulator driver.

The rookie free practice session gives drivers from other racing series the opportunity to test the latest Formula E machinery. Pulling is the second alumna of the F1 Academy to be confirmed for the session; Chloe Chambers will take part with Mahindra Racing.

"It's a pleasure to be back on-track with Nissan Formula E Team and I feel very fortunate to be working with such a great outfit," said Pulling. "I'm delighted to be trusted with this rookie free practice session as it'll be the first official running at a brand-new circuit for Formula E, so data collection will be crucial.

"This is now my fourth outing in the Nissan e‑4ORCE 05 and, alongside my work in the simulator, I feel like I've now got a good understanding of the car.

"I've raced at Miami International Autodrome before in F1 ACADEMY and, even though the track layout will be different, it will be a great spectacle across the weekend. My goal for the session is to fulfil my run plan to put the squad in a strong starting position to kick on for the rest of the event."

Tommaso Volpe, managing director and team principal of the Nissan Formula E team, added: "We're pleased to continue working with Abbi and Gabriele [Minì] at the upcoming rookie free practice session in Miami. It's the first time Formula E has allowed teams to have two cars in FP0, so we wanted to maximize that opportunity.

"It's a brand-new track, which means having as much data as possible will be massively helpful as we prepare for FP1 with Oli and Norman. Both Abbi and Gabriele know the car and are familiar with the team, so this continuity will be important for them to settle quickly and complete their programs, giving full benefit to the team and adding to their experience."
